Since January24th 2024, there has been an ongoing Microsoft issue affecting the return/display of Search Results in SharePoint Online.
We understand the issue is rooted in file indexing
Until now, none of our clients have reported that they are impacted by this, but here at ClearPeople one of our Demo environments seems to be suffering this morning.
The Microsoft health warning confirms that, "We’re continuing to make manual adjustments for known impacted users to correct the search index discrepancy and remediate the impact." - you can read more information about this issue in the Microsoft Health Centre - Service health - Microsoft 365 admin center
