This style for In Focus web parts allows you to set up a number of named sections and choose the item properties to be shown in each section. This allows you to have a completely bespoke set of card properties. Below you can see two examples with different configuration pulling in different item fields, bearing in mind each web part only has one section configured:
To use this style, first choose the Vertical Stack layout for your web part, then you'll be able to choose the Properties List item style. After choosing this style, below the style picker you will see the following additional settings:
Set the Columns Layout number to determine how many columns of data you expect within each item. In the examples above you can see the left has just one column, while the right has three.
To configure which properties you will actually show on the cards, click Manage layout fields. A panel will appear at the right of the page:
To get started, click the Edit button on the left and set the Section Name. A new panel will appear where you can set the section name and its translations if required:
Once this is done click Add and save. If the button only says Save you have not configured the options correctly. Back on the first panel, now you can click Manage fields for this section. A new panel will appear where you can choose the properties:
Click the Edit button on the left and in the new panel set the Field Name and any required translations:
Once the names are all set as needed, click Add and save. If it says only Save you have not configured the options correctly. You'll be taken back to the Manage Fields for Section panel. In the Field Value set the property you want to display.
You should be able to use Managed Properties, display only properties prefixed with "CP" e.g. CPDate, or Handlebars expressions (by checking the box towards the right of the row). We recommend using Managed Properties where possible as they are the most likely to work without further configuration. See all Managed Properties for Atlas metadata here: Atlas Managed Properties for Search
In this example I am using RefinableString128 which brings back the Title of the item:
You can then choose whether to Hide Field Label or Hide Field options. Bear in mind that hiding the field means your property will not be displayed, so this would be used as a temporary measure to hide but not delete the configuration.
You can now repeat this process to add all the fields you need to display.
Need assistance?
It is not always obvious which property you should use for the Field value but if you are not sure how to get the data you need, please get in touch with your CSM or support team for assistance.
