In Atlas 5.3 we have added our own Call to Action web part to provide an enhanced experience over the Microsoft standard Call to Action. This web part allows editors to insert customisable links to any type of content; either internal or external. This feature includes editable titles, subtitles, and buttons with flexible background images and color schemes. It enhances user engagement by directing them to pertinent resources quickly and effectively, aligning with your brand's visual standards.
With flexibility in branding and design you can create unique 'static' links to boost engagement and visual branding across your Atlas platform.
To use the new web part, edit your page, add a web part, and find the "Call to Action (Atlas)" web part:
Click to add the web part to your page. Next you can click the "pencil" icon above to edit the configuration, or click the Configure button on the web part itself. A panel will appear on the right where you can configure the settings.
Image Settings
The first section is the Image Settings. Start by clicking the Browse image button to choose the image you want from the Image Picker. Add alt text if required to describe the image for screen readers. Finally, if the image should be ignored by screen readers you can mark it as decorative.
Content Settings
The text areas and link are hopefully self-explanatory. Importantly you can decide whether the link opens in a new tab, current tab, or an Atlas Modal window, and edit the text which appear on the button.
If Target Audience is required, you can set AD Groups or People here. Note that if you do not set any Target Audience the CTA will be shown to all users; if you add anything to the audience only the users specified will see the web part.
Item Styles
Next you can choose the Item Style settings. The best way to understand what these do is to change them and see the effect on your imagery in real time. With a multitude of options and combinations, the look and feel of the Call to Action webpart is very flexible so it can exactly match your site branding and the look and feel you would like to achieve. The size also enables you to better fit the webpart into the existing or new page layouts.
Export/Import settings
As with many Atlas web parts you can export and import configuration files for this web part. You can learn more about this here: Export and Import Settings for Atlas web parts
