Today, I'm excited to share the highlights of our latest Atlas 5.3 release, a significant leap forward in both functionality and technical robustness. Our commitment to enhancing user experience is reflected in a series of new features designed to streamline workflows and expand capabilities across the platform.
Starting with our functional improvements, the AI Assistant now integrates PowerPoint and Excel files within the Knowledge Collection sync file types. This allows for expanded searching and retrieval of information, making our AI Assistant a more robust tool in your daily work. Additionally, we've introduced the Call to Action web part, empowering editors to guide users with actionable links and customized messaging that aligns with your brand aesthetics. We've also made considerable strides in user interface design, enabling container styling with customizable backgrounds in In Focus web parts and enhancing Add It with drag-and-drop functionality for easier filing scenarios. Moreover, updates to HoverPoint now allow for more intuitive labeling and iconography with adjustable sizes, ensuring information is both accessible and visually consistent.
On the technical side, we have migrated to .NET 8 and adopted Isolated Azure Functions, which underscores our commitment to security and scalability. The new Content Type Extensions Utility simplifies the management of content types, further tailoring the platform to our users' needs. Performance has also been a major focus, with optimizations reducing web parts load times significantly, ensuring a smoother and more responsive experience.

This feature includes editable titles, subtitles, and buttons with flexible background images and color schemes. Container Styling for In Focus Web Parts

Editors can now enhance the visual appeal of In Focus web parts with new container styling options. This feature allows for the addition of background images, colors, and gradients, providing a consistent and attractive layout across different sections. The customization options ensure that web parts are visually engaging and align with the overall branding of your platform.
Add It: Enhanced Document Handling and ConneX cards shortcut
Simplify document uploads with drag-and-drop ease across all your workspaces.
The Add It feature now includes drag-and-drop functionality, simplifying the document upload process. Users can quickly upload multiple files by dragging them into the designated zone. Additionally, pre-configured types allow for a streamlined upload flow, reducing the need for manual metadata entry and enhancing efficiency.
The ConneX cards now feature an Add It shortcut, allowing editors to quickly add content directly from the context menu. This update also includes styling improvements to align the card sizes with other Atlas web parts, ensuring a cohesive and aesthetically pleasing design throughout the platform.
HoverPoint: Improved Usability and Styling
Elevate hover points usability with customizable labels and icons
HoverPoint has been enhanced to offer better usability and categorization of hover points. Supporting new labeling and icon size options. Editors can now choose between icon, label, or both, and adjust their sizes for better visibility. This update aligns HoverPoint with the Atlas 5 Design Framework, ensuring consistency and improving the user experience across web parts.
