Atlas Intelligent Knowledge Platform terminology

This article lists terminology used in the Atlas Intelligent Knowledge Platform with explanations. These are specific to the Atlas IKP, not related to AI in general.

Atlas Fuse: The product name for our suite of AI tools including the AI Assistant and the Intelligent Knowledge Studio.

IKP: Intelligent Knowledge Platform

IKS: Intelligent Knowledge Studio - configure Knowledge Collections to be used with the AI Assistant.

AI Assistant: The front-end UI where users can ask questions against the configured Knowledge Collections

Knowledge Collection: A defined set of text-based content such as documents which support certain types of user query. The IKS lets you configure multiple collections to support multiple use cases.

RAG AI: Resource Augmented Generative AI - RAG AI requires some existing information as context to guide its answers, where regular Generative AI is not given context and can draw from all the information it was trained on. Atlas AI is a RAG AI.
