In Atlas 6.1 we have added a custom action to the Site Pages library to allow pages to be copied between workspaces. Microsoft do not provide this functionality by default, only allowing you to copy a page within the existing workspace, so we have added it to Atlas.
Please note that this functionality is not available in the Atlas Configuration workspace.
Copy a page to another workspace
To copy a page to another workspace, go to the Site Pages library in the workspace where the existing page is located:
In the Site Pages library, locate the page you want to copy and click the ... or right click on it to see the context menu:
If you do not see this option, please ensure that the page you want to copy has been published. To publish it, from the ... menu click More > Publish.
Once you have the option available, click the Copy to workspace option. You will now be asked where you want to copy the page to:
You will need to copy the URL of the destination workspace and paste it into the box. The workspace URL should be like this with nothing additional added, so removing any page URL, library URL etc:
https://tenantname.sharepoint.com/sites/siteURL
For example, the URL in the image below includes the "sitepages" part so it cannot be used:
So I can simply remove the "sitepages" text as so:
If you want to overwrite an existing page with the same name in the destination workspace, toggle that option to Yes, otherwise if there is a page with the same name in the destination the copy will fail.
When you are ready, click Confirm to start the copy. You will see a spinner while the copy is taking place, then once it is completed you will see a success message:
You can now copy the link to the new page or go to it directly using the buttons provided. Click OK to stay where you are.
