In this article we describe the various UI elements provided by Microsoft 365 and any configuration available. Please note that the following is not provided by Atlas but by Microsoft 365 itself.

Suite bar
Microsoft 365 has a “suite bar” across the top of the screen which is common across all Microsoft 365 services. This allows quick access to several common elements such as the App Launcher, Profile pages and Settings menus.
Settings menu
The settings menu can be accessed from the cogwheel on the top right-hand side of the screen and it is contextual to the current application and the permissions of the current user. In this document we will usually refer to it simply as the Settings menu.
If you access the settings menu from the Microsoft 365 homepage, you will see options relating to your user settings. You can change:
- Theme (may be overridden by your organisation)
- Start page
- Language and Time Zone
- Notifications
- Password
- Contact preferences
App Launcher
Click the “waffle” icon in the top left of the suite bar to access the App Launcher. Depending on your permissions and licensing you may see only a subset of the items below:
You can also click “All apps” to get the full list, and you can search the list to find a specific app by typing into the Search box:
