Atlas Centres often utilise term sets with the same name but different values, allowing more flexibility across larger systems. For example, a Marketing Knowledge Centre has a different set of Document Types than a Financial Knowledge Centre which means those terms can be more specific to that area, and therefore more meaningful to users.
In some cases, you may want to synchronise a specific term set between multiple Atlas Centres so that they have the same values available. We have a script available for this synchronisation which we can run on request.
Before asking us to synchronise a term set you should ensure that it is as complete as possible. Once a term is synchronised you can add sub-terms without re-running the script and these will be synchronised automatically, but to synchronise new top-level terms the script will need to be re-run.
