Key Contacts can be added to any modern Atlas page simply by adding the People web part to the page and configuring the users to be displayed. Please note that this component is provided by Microsoft and may be updated without warning.
The web part is already added by default on several page layouts, but if not you can add it by clicking the + in the desired area of the page:

Adding People
Choose the People web part from the list by scrolling down to it or typing "people" in the Search box.
Once you have added the web part, you can rename it from "People" by clicking the title of the web part, then simply typing the new title you prefer.
To add people to be displayed in the web part, start typing each name into the Name or email address field and pick the correct user from the matching users:
After choosing a user they will be added to the web part and more users can be added in the same way:
Now when users visit this page they can hover over a user to see their Profile Card. After a few seconds the card will expand to show contact details, recent files etc.
Configuration options
This web part comes out of the box with SharePoint and has a single configuration option other than choosing which users are displayed:
Compact layout is the default as shown at the start of this article and simply shows the name, picture and job title for each user.
Descriptive layout provides more information about each user but takes up more space:
However this layout allows the editor to add a link and description for each user specific to that page. The description can be used to describe the user's role in relation to the current page (topic, department etc).
