The Useful Links (Atlas) web part displays links to content either inside or outside of Atlas set by the Content Managers of the current workspace. Each workspace in Atlas has its own Useful Links list, so links are only configurable per workspace and wherever the web part is used in the same workspace users will see the same links.
If you want to add links that can be seen across all workspaces you should consider adding those to the Launchpad, Global Navigation or Footer Links instead of Useful Links.
In Atlas 2.1 onwards users can also curate personal links from the My Links list which can be accessed via the Atlas button.
The Useful Links web part will be shown by default on certain types of page such as Landing Pages.

Add Useful Links for a workspace
To add Useful Links for a specific workspace, navigate to the workspace then open Add It and follow the steps in this article: Add a Useful Link
Show the Useful Links web part on a page
Edit the page, then click the + sign to add a component in the area of the page you want it to appear:
If there are already some components in the same area, you can hover above, between or below existing components, then click the + to place your additional component exactly where you want it.
Next you need to choose the component to add. In the Search box in the add web part menu simply type "useful" and pick the Useful Links (Atlas) web part:
The first web part listed is the out of the box Microsoft web part, which is not recommended.
Edit or Delete existing Useful Links
To Edit or Delete Atlas content please check this article: Edit or Delete Atlas content - note that for Useful Links you'll need to use the Site contents method to find your content.

I can see how you add a useful link - but how do you then edit or delete it?
Hi Richard, thanks for your question. To edit or delete a Useful Link you would navigate to the workspace you added it to, then go to Site Contents, open the Useful Links list, and edit or delete the link from there. We'll prioritise this information to be added to the article.
Super - thank you!
