Atlas uses Modern SharePoint sites which have a number of theming options available. The theme covers just the main colours to be used for the interface, including:
- Text
- Controls e.g. buttons (both M365 and Atlas)
- Atlas Menu background
The default theme is managed by administrators, but if it is updated you may be asked to re-apply it.
Applying the default theme
Please note: To apply a theme to a workspace you will need to be an Owner of that workspace.
It is quite easy to apply a default company theme if the default theme is updated by administrators, and generally we recommend that all Atlas workspaces use the same theme to keep things consistent for users. If you are asked to re-apply the default theme in a workspace follow these steps:
- Navigate to the workspace that needs to be updated
- Verify that you are an Owner of the current workspace by clicking on the Members button in the top right and ensuring you are listed as an Owner:
- Once you have confirmed you are an Owner, open the settings menu from the Office 365 bar and click Change the look:
- Click the Theme option:
- At the top you will see the Site theme and Company themes. The default theme is always shown under Company themes, and ideally you should have just one theme, usually called "Atlas Theme", which is the default. Choose this option then click Save at the bottom of the panel to update the current workspace.
