Atlas 2.0 onwards uses a Modern SharePoint site for each workspace which means you can use the Microsoft Usage information to monitor adoption and usage of each workspace.
If you need more advanced analytics than those provided by Microsoft please ask your CSM about our partner tyGraph. You may already have tyGraph available as part of your Atlas package.

View usage information for a workspace
To see Usage information for an Atlas workspace, navigate to the workspace, then from the Settings menu in the top right choose Site Usage:
On this page you can see the Usage information for the workspace going back up to 90 days. The following information is available:
- Overall traffic (this section can be filtered to show 7, 30 or 90 days using the toggle on the right)
- Unique viewers
- Site visits
- Average time spent per user
- Popular content in the last 7 days
- Site pages
- News posts
- Documents
- Usage insights (this section can be filtered to show 7, 30 or 90 days using the toggle on the right)
- By device
- By time
- Shared with external users (requires you to click the button to run another report and save the results in a Document library where it can be viewed).
In the Popular content section you can choose to sort by Unique viewers, Visits or Time Spent.
In the Usage insights section you can hover over the data points to get more detailed information.
Export usage information for a workspace
As you will find, there are very few options to interact with this data on the page, but at the top right you can see a small Download icon:
Click this to download an Excel file containing the latest 90 days of usage information. Since this is in Excel format you can then interact with the data within Excel, or import it into Power BI.
Note that because only 90 days of usage data is available, you would need to export this data for every workspace every 90 days to keep a full record of the usage trends.
