Looking for fun and creative ways to celebrate your company Christmas party but this time virtually? Below are some ideas that the ClearPeople team used for our virtual Christmas party.
Fun
- Kahoot
Kahoot! is a game-based learning platform that makes it easy to create, share and play learning games or trivia quizzes in minutes. Great for team building, engagement and boosting morale. - Bingo
Make your own virtual bingo cards with words that are relevant to your company. Use an online bingo card generator and start the fun! - Awards
Create awards for your employees and announce them during your virtual party. The awards can recognise the high achievers or as we prefer to do, recognise employees in a fun and unique way. - Bake-off
Although we were not able to taste any of the baked treats, we selected a couple of judges who then scored each item on creativity, presentation and effort.
Food & Drink
- Christmas hamper
The original Christmas hamper is always a good idea. To make it more interesting, instruct employees to not open their gift until the virtual Christmas party or include items that can be used for the party. - Wine tasting
Borough Wines offers online wine tasting – they have special Christmas selection boxes as well. - Chocolate tasting experience
Choc Affair offers chocolate tasting experiences and learn how to taste chocolate like an expert.
Sentimental
- Sharing photos
Putting together a photo collage of highlights from the past year is a great way to feel connected to each other. Looking back at the past year and see how far everyone got, and include some funny images for some laughs! - Toast
Your Christmas party isn’t complete without a toast. Ask the leadership team prior to the meeting, to prepare a meaningful toast. - Christmas cards to employees
Handwritten Christmas cards or e-cards with a personalised message by the employee’s line manager or CEO is a nice gesture so the employee feels valued.
At ClearPeople, we ran a virtual Christmas party this year where we ran a few of the above activities and we can confirm it was lots of fun and engagement is guaranteed.
