It's really great to see how our clients work around unexpected issues in a creative way, using our solutions.
On February 1th, we were all surprised when we experienced serious issues with date formats in SharePoint after Microsoft pushed an update.
All our SharePoint clients, on classic as well as on modern, and even ourselves where affected in such a way that in several areas of the SharePoint sites the dates were displayed incorrectly or even just didn't display at all and showed an error message.
Of course our team started investigating immediately and we even had a fix ready before Microsoft applied a fix themselves, but the great thing to see is that some of our clients looked into alternative solutions themselves while we were preparing a code fix.
At Korn Ferry, the Fuse team came up with the brilliant idea of implementing a temporary page to replace their failing launchpad.
They just used the capabilities of their solution to create a temporary page that properly displayed the required content that normally would sit in their launchpad.
After implementing the temporary page, they used the Alert capability to point their user community to this temporary launchpad.
A simple but great example of how you can easily find alternative implementations and seriously reduce impact when unexpected issues arise.
Great work Fuse team!
