If your Atlas workspace includes the left-hand navigation menu you can manage the links shown in the menu for everyone who visits. When you first create a workspace you will see the following default links:
The All Documents, All Knowledge and All Workspaces links can be removed if you wish, but they are helpful for signposting users towards the content they may be looking for. The Recycle Bin link cannot be removed.
Edit links
If you have permissions to update this menu, you will see an Edit link underneath the menu which you can click to get started. This will put the menu into Edit mode:
To edit, remove or change the order of existing links, click the ellipsis (...) next to the link you want to change and choose the option you need.
Ensure you click Save at the bottom left of the page to save any changes you make.
Add new links
To add a new link, put the menu into Edit mode then hover between or below the existing links and click the + button:
You will be presented with a popup form which lets you configure the link. You can choose to add links to specific M365 features such as the Notebook and Planner by choosing them from the dropdown at the top, but to add custom links just leave this options as "Link" and fill in the URL and Display name:
Once you have filled in the form, click OK to add the link to the menu. When you are done, ensure you click Save at the bottom left of the page to save any changes you make.
Move or hide the menu
If you are an Owner of the workspace and the workspace is a Knowledge workspace you can choose whether to display this navigation menu on the left or at the top for all pages in the workspace. This option is not available for Communications workspaces where the menu will always be at the top.
To make this change go to the cogwheel (settings) menu in the top right, then click Change the look:
Now open the Navigation section:
In here you can set the visibility, orientation and style of the menu:
Make whichever changes you like, then click Save at the bottom of the panel to confirm.
