The All search scope empowers any user to find knowledge, communications or expertise directly from the search box available everywhere in Atlas. This scope is otherwise known as the Search Dashboard and includes all Atlas content side by side with your People Directory and FAQs, so that users can more easily explore all content rather than just pages and documents.
Please note that customisation of the Listing pages is supported, so your "All" Listing page may not be the same as what is described in this article.
Access the dashboard
To access the All Search Dashboard, click the search button in the Atlas header, ensure you have selected the All scope (this is usually the default scope), then press enter. You can enter search terms if you wish, but leaving this blank means you will see a true view of all results:
There are three sections in the new dashboard; Content, People and FAQs. Each section provides a view of all Atlas content of that type, with the refiners and user experience users are familiar with from the separated Listing pages. Each section is first filtered by any text the user entered in the Search Box at the top, then by any refiners applied for that specific section.
Please note that this screenshot is from Atlas 5.0. Previous versions have the same functionality but a different look and feel.
Customisation of the In Focus web parts on the All Search Dashboard is not recommended because it is intended to show to a user all Atlas content that they have permissions to view, however it is supported if you need to do it.
If you want to return a subset of content using In Focus web parts ideally this should be done on a new separate Listing page, such as by taking a copy of the All Search Dashboard page and customising it.
To learn how to make a copy of this page with all web parts and configuration retained please read: Make a copy of an existing page
