Pages in Atlas do not just include the content you write, they also represent effort spent to configure the layout, sections and components on the page to provide the best experience for users. Luckily it is quite simple to create a new page by copying an existing page along with all the sections, components and configuration, so you can just focus on the content.
If you will need to make many copies of a page, you shlould consider creating a custom Page Template instead, which can then be used from Add It. Read: Modify page templates and create custom ones
Please note that...
- At the time of writing you can only copy a page within the same workspace, and you cannot create a copy of the Landing Page in a workspace.
- You will need Contribute permissions or higher in your workspace to perform these steps.
Copy a page
- To get started, navigate to the page you want to copy. Remember that this cannot be the Landing Page of the workspace.
- At the top of the page, you will see the New menu. Click on it and choose Copy of this page:
- The system will quickly create a new page, and automatically add the same web parts with the same configuration.
- You will need to set the Name at the top of the page - click where you see the text Add a name and type the page name you want. You should use a different name from the page you copied.
- Finally, you'll need to verify the Page Details. The new page will use the default tags for the workspace, not the same tags as the page you copied. Click the Page Details button at the top of the page, then make sure the tags in the panel on the right are correct.
You now have an exact copy of your original page and you can update the content and components as with any other page in Atlas.
