Permissions required
To get started configuring the information shown in the Footer you will need at least Contribute permissions to the Atlas Configuration workspace in your tenant, usually located at /sites/atlasconfiguration. If you are unsure where this site is located in your tenant you should be able to find it via ConneX, or speak to your Atlas administrators.
Configure Footer Links
Please ensure you navigate to the Atlas Configuration site before starting these steps!
To configure links, click Footer Links from the left hand navigation:
- To amend an existing item, expand the correct Link Group (e.g. Simple Links), then right click the link you want to amend and click Edit:
- You can then modify the information in the Edit panel on the right. To ensure the item stays in the same area of the Footer, avoid changing the Footer Section when editing.
- To add a new link rather than editing an existing one, click the “New” button in the library, then choose Footer Link to open the form and start adding information:
- This will open the form shown below - note that you should not change the Content Type at the top of the form. The fields that must be configured for items to be displayed correctly are highlighted below in groups 1 and 2:
- The Rollup Image is only used for items in the “Social Links” Footer section, so there is no need to add it for Simple or Copyright links.
Clear your cache to get the latest Header and Footer
When the Footer information is updated users may not see it immediately as it will be in their browser cache. To clear the cache on a particular browser and refresh both the Header and Footer the user should click the My Atlas button then at the bottom of the panel click the Clear cache text:
