If enabled, users can now break permissions inheritance for individual content items in a workspace, specify who else (other than workspace owners) will be allowed to edit that content, and also add additional read access for those who may not have permission to view the workspace by default.
These options can be found in the Security section of Add It when adding content:
By turning the Limit edit permissions option to On, the Editors group inherited from the workspace permissions will be modified to provide only Read access. The Editors you specify will then be added individually with Edit permissions. If you do not specify any Editors, only yourself and the workspace Owners will be able to edit the item.
The Readers group inherited from the workspace will remain, still with Read permissions. The Readers you specify will then be added individually with Read permissions.
The Owners group will continue to be Owners of the content in their workspaces with no changes applied to their permissions.
Manage item level permissions from the ConneX Studio template
From Atlas 6.1 onwards you can pre-set whether or not item level permissions can be set when adding content via Add It for all workspaces provisioned from each template. For more information see here: ConneX Studio - Manage item level permissions for Add It
