Update - 23/05/2023
- We implemented a fix for system workspaces (Learning and Atlas Configuration) to remove the Document content type. This will only happen if you don't have any documents in there to avoid removing any of your data.
- For old workspaces that were generated with the content type Document included in the template we will not apply any fix.
Symptoms
You will see the type "Document" as an option on the new Add It UI, when adding a new Document:
Resolution
The root cause of the issue is due to an internal change to the library coming from Microsoft. This caused an exception on the ConneX function that was supposed to remove the content type when provisioning.
This issue will be fixed in the hotfix package of June for 4.2, 4.3 and 5.0. Existing workspaces created will not be fixed.
Customers using Add It (Legacy) are technically affected but they won't notice the impact of this until they upgrade to new Add It in the future, so it is recommended to all customers upgrade to the Atlas 4.2 June hotfix at their earliest convenience.
If you wish to remove the content type, this can be done manually for each affected workspace:
- Go to Site contents
- Click the 3 dots next to the Documents library and click Settings
- Scroll down to the Content types table, and click on "Document"
- Click on Delete this content type then confirm the warning.
