Please note that this cannot be applied to LEGACY In Focus web parts, and the configuration will need to be applied individually to each In Focus web part that needs the change.
The default behaviour for In Focus web parts is that the Date of a document shown on the Cards and other layouts will use the "Date" field from the document - this is not the Modified Date - instead it is the date set when the document was added to Atlas. If not changed, this will be the date the document was added by default.
However, if you wish you can swap this date out for the Modified Date as this may be more useful in some scenarios.
Configure the In Focus web part
If you are already using In Focus and returning the correct results you can skip steps 1 and 2.
- Edit your page and add an In Focus web part or pre-configured option such as "Documents (Atlas)"
- Configure the web part to bring in the correct information
- Choose SharePoint Search as the data source
- Choose the Result Source which brings back the information you want
- Set the layout, paging options etc. as desired.
- Scroll down the edit panel and open the Advanced configuration section near the bottom. Find the Selected properties dropdown, open it, scroll down and select "RefinableDate15". Do not de-select any options.
- Go to the Layout section and click the Edit layout slots button:
- Find the slot for RefinableDate (the 9th row at the time of writing) and change the value in the second column from "RefinableDate18" to "RefinableDate15". If you can't select it from the dropdown you may need to type it in:
You should now see the correct date shown on the item cards. - If you also want to sort the items by the Modified Date, you can Edit sort settings and set RefinableDate15 as the field to sort by.
